ERGATTA - Game-based training technology

Ergatta was founded in New York in 2020 and has been the exclusive partner of WATERROWER | NOHRD ever since. The special pairing is more than understandable. Ergatta was looking for a leading manufacturer of first-class fitness equipment that meets the highest design and functionality requirements.

TRAINING IN GAME FORM

Ergatta leverages the principles of gamification, personalization, and real-time performance feedback to deliver the most competitive training experience possible. Instead of following videos and instructors, Ergatta Training offers users structured workouts in the form of games.

Ergatta's patented dynamic calibration allows for a personalized training experience; it automatically and continuously adapts to the user's progress, ensuring that workouts are challenging enough. New training on a gamified fitness machine like the Ergatta Rower is ideal for those who no longer find motivation in traditional, instructor-led fitness offerings.

Introducing the AI coach

The AI coach is your personal trainer, guiding your rowing journey with feedback, drills, and personalized instruction.

The Ergatta AI Coach makes it easy to learn indoor rowing, using computer analysis to analyze rowing motion, provide personalized feedback and insights, and recommend relevant exercises and instructional videos. The AI Coach is easy to use and valuable to all members, offering tools to improve rowing technique regardless of experience level.

Members can access the AI coach in the Ergatta mobile companion app. Using the phone’s camera, the AI coach tracks the movement of the hands, elbows, shoulders, back, hips and knees to analyze the rowing motion. Trained on thousands of correct and incorrect techniques, it reliably identifies proper rowing form and errors for all body types.

Practice and development

After a workout, Ergatta rates Great Form members from 0 to 100 and aggregates feedback to address the six most common rowing mistakes. Members receive a breakdown of their results down to the number of strokes they made for each mistake, as well as access to drills, tutorials, and workouts to improve.

Like the rest of Ergatta's game-based fitness platform, members are motivated to reach new highs and improve over time.

The AI Coach beta will be available to all Ergatta members on December 19, 2023. The product can be used through the Ergatta mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Apple iPhone App Store. The AI Coach is currently only available on iOS, with Android likely to be available in 2024.
